Created 1993The Foundation established this lectureship to honor Dr. Kitzhaber's nationally recognized contributions to the citizens of Oregon as State Senator and Governor through his pioneering leadership in legislating the Oregon Health Plan. This lectureship focuses on issues related to economics and public policy in healthcare. The 2010 John Kitzhaber, M.D., Lectureship on Healthcare Policy will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Portland Hilton Hotel. This year's speaker will be Elliott Fisher, M.D., of the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. Dr. Fisher's talk is entitled "Advancing Accountable Care in the Era of Reform."
